Its so absurd that everyone is astounded that she's upset. Are the Russians not human? I remember watching the Olympics when i was a child in Australia and my favourite part was the medal ceremony. Unlike the BBC that only play medal ceremonies for British gold medals, Aussie coverage shows many more ceremonies. Everyone, not matter what country they are from, cry as their anthem is played. Isn't the point of the Olympics to demonstrate our common humanity?

Wait a minute!!! At the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, Vladimir Gogoladze of the Soviet Union landed a triple back on the Floor Exercise during the Team Optionals. He was the first to perform that skill.

Oh, when women's gymnastics was beautiful to watch, such a joy, Nowadays it's all rush, rush, rush and no joy at all. Thank goodness I was able to witness the magic when it happened.

The modern day, gymnasts have a limited amount of flexibility due to their age and body type. They wouldn't be able to perform these routines. This is definitely a thing of the past, and so fascinating to watch.

80s gymnastics were passionate, gracious and acrobatics. I absolutely love this era of gymnastics vs the heavy acrobatics now a days. Prefer to watch Comanici and Corbut over Simon

Watching this in 2024, knowing how much abuse happened because of Béla Károlyi's horrific gym & practices, now knowing the painfulvstories hiding behind those smiling women's faces, gave this fascinating doc a twisted feel.

I don't 'get' the 'this gymnast vs that gymnast'. BOTH Olga and Madia were amazing gymnasts, with different styles and flare. It shouldn't be one over the other.

Nadia and Simone are 2 diametrically opposed styles, Simone is pure power, speed, perfection but no emotion nor any feminism at all while on the other hand Nadia is pure grace, artistry and poetry in motion!.Simone's pose, walk and running form is very masculine like and VERY mechanical while Nadia's walk is feminine, sensual and delicate like a rose!.I might not know much about gymnastics but I know artistry and grace when I see it, that's what I see when I watch Nadia perform!!!!.When I watch Simone I am amazed by her dominion and control of the athletic part of gymnastics but sadly there's not much artistry left to be touched and uplifted by it😢😢😢

You could not describe better what it think and feel (you used the perfect words). Simone is great (probably the best of all time from a technical point of view). But Nadia is and always will be Nadia. The grace, the perfection almost 50 years ago. No words.

It is shameful to listen to soviet Olga Korbut and Nellie Kim saying that Nadia was the winner because of her psychological strength or that judges forgave her errors because of propaganda. They have such envy and hate towards Nadia that makes them look ridiculous through those statements. Olga, Nellie, ADMIT IT - NADIA WAS WAY BETTER AND SHE WAS THE ONE TO GET THE FIRST TEN EVER. She is the BEST GYMNAST in History and you both look ridiculously jealous. She had the talent, a strong mind, a gifted body, a natural elegance, such perfection performing and charisma ... A true glory like Ludmila Tourischeva is the only one who admits it. Olga and Nellie, keep lying to yourselves ...

Olga was my favorite 🌹 I feel for Nadia as it seemed once she was no longer the flavor of the month, they turned their scoring bias towards other talents. As far as I'm concerned, Olga's masterpiece on the beam in 72 was my first perfect 10, and she repeated it in innovative, passionate, daring techniques in each of her routines. Those judges are corrupt, the system is rigged just like all else in the world has become. It's as fake as wondering who will win the Superbowl, it's totally predictable & predetermined. It's why I never come across any Simone Biles fans or hear anything about her beyond the internet media, because after finally seeing her perform next to old skits of Nadia, it was a laughing joke that bullfrog dwarf on roids hopped on the beam and sat there supposedly served as her "mount", and somehow this is the "greatest winning champion of all time in the history of gymnastics"!?! Of course that same effed up system would gyp Olga out of her 10!! She was who transformed gymnastics into one of the most popular sports in history. I remember when I discovered there was an Olga, BEFORE Nadia, it's been Nadia Who?, ever since. Olga just had a warmth, a drive & passion, a pulse, that vulnerability that the other soviets lacked. I do love the fact that another European powerhouse came from out of nowhere & disrupted things, putting that playing field on its head because the Russian's were bullies and deserved to be one upped for a change and they didn't see it coming which was the best part. I think Nadia was kept secret as much as possible, up until Montreal. 🌹🤸🏼‍♀️✨❤️

Men have so much more strength, power and dynamic "explosive" muscle mass in their body than women. The physical advantage of men in gymnastics is huge. Men can run faster, accelerate faster, jump higher, rotate quicker, etc., it's fascinating.
